Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber is an independent, member-supported organization that exists to promote a positive business environment that contributes to the community and economic vitality of the Androscoggin County region. The mission of the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce (LA Metro) is accomplished through business advocacy, member support services, regional image development, and business-education partnerships.
Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments
The Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments (AVCOG) is a regional planning agency serving the Western Maine communities of Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford counties. AVCOG is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) agency exclusively owned and operated by member communities who join on a voluntary basis. An Executive Committee sets policy and oversees the operation of the Council in consultation with appointed representatives from member communities and counties. AVCOG is a leader in the coordination and delivery of regional planning and municipal services.
