LYAC Promotes "I Love Lewiston" to Kids!

On May 19, 2015, eight members of the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council led DO YOU DO LEW presentations for 3rd and 5th grade classes at Geiger Elementary. Their purpose was to encourage children to join them in being cheerleaders for Lewiston and to encourage children-Lewiston's future-to think about what they value in their own community.

LYAC facilitated various activities with the children to include Lewiston “Mad-libs,” drawings, and a
Jeopardy-theme game focused on highlights in Lewiston. Energy ran high in both classrooms with lots
of positives shared about Lewiston, and competition was fierce in the 5th grade class as teams competed over knowledge about Lewiston.

At the close of the LYAC presentations, members handed out “I Love Lewiston” stickers to the students, as well as to some younger students they greeted when leaving the building. The Lewiston Youth Advisory Council is funded by the Lewiston Firefighters Association; for more information about the group view the LYAC Page.
